Police Dispatched for Domestic Incident; Discover Brockport Woman in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

crime-newsSNYDER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – During the course of the investigation of a disturbance at a residence along Route 219, in Snyder Township, Jefferson County, it was discovered that a Brockport woman was allegedly in possession of various items of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to a criminal complaint, around 5:04 p.m. on March 4, Trooper Kunz, of Punxsutawney-based State Police, was dispatched to a domestic dispute at a residence along Route 219 in Snyder Township.

Relatives Tell Police About Johnson’s Drug Usage

The complaint states that upon arrival to the residence, Trooper Kunz spoke with a relative of 26-year-old Erica Jean Johnson, of Brockport, who said that she “was not wanted at the property due to her attitude and drug usage.” At this time, Johnson was outside with Trooper Kunz and Corporal Chase, of DuBois-based State Police, and was asked about drug usage.

According to the complaint, she allegedly denied any type of drug usage and then became upset when Corporal Chase showed her two used stamp bags of Heroin that was given to him by one of her relatives.

Police Allegedly Seize Drug Paraphernalia from Johnson

Cpl. Chase then asked her about her drug usage and Johnson allegedly removed several more stamp bags from her bra, including a hypodermic syringe. A spoon with Heroin residue was allegedly seized from her purse along with a clear plastic baggie, the complaint states.

Johnson was taken into custody for drug paraphernalia, the complaint continues.

She was transported to PSP DuBois where she was processed.

Additional Drug Paraphernalia Allegedly Discovered on Johnson During Search

An additional clear plastic baggie was found on Johnson during a search of her person by Trooper Kathy Waters of Marienville-based State Police, according to the complaint.

The suspected Heroin residue on the spoon seized was tested using a NIK (Narcotics Identification Kit) test and allegedly showed positive for Heroin, the complaint states.

Johnson Charged with Nine Counts of Drug Paraphernalia

Johnson was arraigned and charged with nine counts of Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, a Misdemeanor.

Unable to post $25,000.00 Monetary Bail, she was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.

Johnson Awaits Preliminary Hearing

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on April 9 in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana.
