Police Dispatched to Fight at Pub in Brookville, Two Charged

Police car lightsBrookville, Pa. (EYT)-According to Brookville police a fight between eight people broke out at The Courthouse Grille & Pub in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Brookville Police say around 11:46 p.m. on January 30, they were dispatched to The Courthouse Grille & Pub for a fight in progress, with eight people involved.

When police arrived on scene, the fight was over and officers were met at the door by two persons who were involved in the fight, police say.

One officer stayed outside while the other went inside to make sure there was still no fighting going on and to get the details of the incident, according to police.

Through the investigation, it was discovered that one female patron intentionally started a fight with another female patron, and while the females were fighting, one of the female actor’s boyfriends jumped into the fight and struck the other female actor, police say.

Both of the females were transported to the hospital for evaluation, one by private vehicle and the other by ambulance, according to police.

One female and her boyfriend are being charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment, police say.

All charges are being filed at District Magistrate Bazylak’s office.

The names of the suspects were not provided.
