Police Find Meth, Paraphernalia in Punxsy Woman’s Vehicle

PUNXSUTAWNEY BORO., Pa. (EYT) – A Punxsy woman has been arrested following a traffic stop in which police found meth and other drug paraphernalia. 

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, troopers approached a known 45-year-old Punxsutawney woman in the parking lot of Sheetz, in Punxsutawney Borough, Jefferson County, around 1:00 a.m.

Police say the woman had an active arrest warrant.

While speaking with the suspect, police detected a moderate odor of alcohol emanating from her breath, as well as other visual indications of suspected impairment.

The troopers conducted a battery of field sobriety tests on the suspect and observed multiple clues of impairment, police said.

She granted police consent to search her vehicle, a 2007 Pontiac G5, which yielded a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and related drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.

The woman’s name has not been released.
