Police Investigate Criminal Mischief in Ringgold Township

RINGGOLD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 11:40 a.m. on October 26, an incident of Criminal Mischief occurred on Martz Farm Road, along Weaver Road, in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, two known male suspects used a 2001 Jeep Wrangler to push a garbage dumpster down a driveway causing minor damage.

Both suspects then proceeded to drive north on Weaver Road before driving off the paved portion of the road and entered a New Bethlehem man’s property. The suspects then proceeded to use the front of the Jeep to push on the upright post of the victim’s pavilion, police say.

Several posts were damaged; some were broken and caused the roof of the pavilion to collapse, according to police.

A picnic table also belong the the victim was damaged, police.

The investigation continues.
