Police Investigate Hit and Run Crash in Knox Township

investigationKNOX TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. on February 15 on Harriger Hollow Road, in Knox Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 19-year-old Joshua M. Emery, of Brookville, was traveling south on Harriger Hollow Road and crossed over the center line. His 1993 Toyota Tacoma struck a concrete bridge abutment head-on.

Police say Emery left the scene and failed to report the accident.

According to police, Emery was later able to be located. He was interviewed and admitted to being behind the wheel.

He was not injured.

He was charged through District Court 40-3-01.
