Police Investigating Hit-and-Run Crash on I-80 in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in DuBois are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 80 in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

According to a release issued by PSP DuBois on December 1, the crash happened around 10:43 p.m. on Thursday, November 17.

Police say an unidentified truck and a 2012 Volvo VNL driven by 34-year-old Dedric J. Small, of Kokomo, IN, were traveling west when the unidentified truck drifted into the Volvo’s lane of travel for unknown reasons and struck the Volvo, causing damage to its fender and side mirror, according to police.

The unidentified truck then fled the scene in a westerly direction on I-80 towards Brookville.

DuBois EMS Ambulance Service transported Small to Penn Highlands DuBois for minor injuries. He was using a seat belt.

PSP DuBois is investigating the incident.
