REYNOLDSVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County woman was allegedly caught in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and suspected fentanyl.
Court documents indicate on Tuesday, May 7, the Reynoldsville Borough Police Department filed the following criminal charges against 20-year-old Ciera Marie Caltagarone, of Reynoldsville:
- Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
- Possession of Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor (two counts)
- Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (five counts)
According to a criminal complaint, on Monday, May 6, Sargeant Murray, of the Reynoldsville Brough Police Department, was conducting an investigation, with the assistance of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Senior Agent Farabaugh, regarding a stolen firearm after receiving information that Ciera Caltagarone had one in her possession.
During the investigation, a consent search of Caltagarone’s vehicle was given. Inside the vehicle, several items indicative of drug distribution were found, including methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, heroin, several ziplock baggies used for packaging methamphetamine, stamp bags used for packaging heroin, a scale, needles, a glass pipe, a glass tube, and a cell phone, according to the complaint.
Caltagarone reportedly admitted to both using and distributing heroin and methamphetamine, the complaint states.
Caltagarone was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak at 8:40 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, she was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, with Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana presiding.
