Police: Man Tries to Kill Bartender in Suspected Attempted Homicide-Suicide

police_line_11BROCKPORT, Pa. –  State Police say an attempted homicide-suicide occurred last night in Brockport, Elk County.

According to police, the incident happened around 12:00 a.m. at the Brockport Army & Navy Club on Boggy Run Road.

State police say Eric Carlson, 31, of Brockway, allegedly engaged in an argument with a 20-year-old bartender after he became upset when she tried to close the bar.

When the bartender attempted to get Carlson to leave, he allegedly shot her multiple times with a pistol and then shot and killed himself, according to police.

The victim. listed as a 20-year-old Brockport woman, was flown to UPMC Altoona for treatment.  Her current condition is unknown.

Her name has not yet been released.

Horton Township VFD/QRS, Brockway Ambulance, and the Elk County Coroner assisted at the scene.
