Police: Over $7,000 Cash, Retirement Check Stolen from 94-Year-Old Man

CANOE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say over $7,000 cash and a retirement check were stolen from a 94-year-old man’s home in Canoe Township.

On October 30, Punxsutawney-based State Police initiated an investigation into a report of a burglary at a residence on Clinton Street in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

Police say an unknown individual(s) entered the residence and stole the victim wallet, valued at $20.00, which contained approximately $7,700.00 cash in various denominations, as well as a retirement check in the amount of approximately $800.00.

The investigation is ongoing.
