Police Release Details of Young Township Crash That Injured Brookville Man

YOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police have released the details of a crash that occurred late last month in Young Township and sent a Brookville man to Punxsutawney Hospital.

According to police, around 4:25 p.m. on October 31, a one-vehicle crash occurred on Woodland Avenue Extension in Young Township.

Police say 34-year-old Thomas A. Craft, of Brookville, was operating a 1995 Saturn SL, traveling east on Woodland Avenue Extension, when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and struck multiple trees before coming to a final rest approximately 20 feet east of the roadway facing southeast.

Craft was wearing a seatbelt.

He suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital by Jefferson County EMS for medical treatment.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Brosius Towing.

Lindsey Fire Company of Punxsutawney and Punxsutawney Borough Police Department also assisted at the scene.

Craft was cited for a speed violation.
