Police Release Details on Brookville Woman Who Allegedly Attempted to Stab Man with Kitchen Knife

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – According to Brookville Borough Police, an Aggravated Assault occurred on Franklin Avenue, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Police say around 1:52 a.m. on August 9, police were dispatched to 142 Franklin Avenue for a report of a domestic assault.

Upon investigation into the incident, it was discovered that a 40-year-old female allegedly attempted to stab a 39-year-old male victim with a kitchen knife during an argument that occurred around 10:30 p.m. on August 8.

Police say the female had left the residence and returned at approximately 1:52 a.m. on August 9 when police were dispatched by Jefferson County Control from a report from a concerned citizen that heard the argument.

The female was arrested for Aggravated Assault and other related charges.

She was placed in Jefferson County Jail to be arraigned at a later time.

The charges were filed at the office of District Magistrate Gregory Bazylak.

The names of the individuals were not released.
