Police Release Details on Collision on Route 36

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Police say a two vehicle accident occurred around 5:42 p.m. on February 21, on State Route 36, Allegheny Boulevard and Sheetz exit, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

According to police, Walter Vega, 36, of Punxsutawney, was exiting Sheetz onto Allegheny Blvd. and did not see the vehicle driven by Priscilla G. Delp, 33, of New Bethlehem.

The vehicles hit almost head on and both sustained severe damage. They were towed from the scene by wreckers from McPherson Towing, police say.

Vega, his wife, and three children were using seat belts and were not injured.

Delp was using a seat belt; she suffered arm/wrist pain and was transported to the Brookville Hospital Emergency Room by Jefferson County EMS.

Brookville Police were assisted at the scene by Brookville Volunteer Fire Company.
