Police Release Details on Hit and Run in Pine Creek Twp.

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a hit and run accident occurred on Lutheran Cemetery Road, about one mile from its intersection with State Route 322, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 10:00 a.m. on February 18, an unidentified vehicle struck a 1978 Chevrolet Van that was parked on the eastern berm of Lutheran Cemetery Road. The driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the scene and failed to notify the owner of the van.

No injuries were reported.

The van sustained moderate damage to the left rear fender area.

Information pertaining to the unidentified vehicle and its driver remain unknown at this time, according to police.
