SANDY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police have released details on a March 21 motor vehicle accident in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.
Police say the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 101.2.
80-year-old Arville L. Hagen, of Smithmill, Pa., entered the roadway via the Exit 101 westbound off-ramp.
39-year-old Mark R. Fluit, of Wyoming, Mi., subsequently swerved to avoid colliding with Hagen’s vehicle and struck a guide rail.
No injuries were reported.
Hagen was determined to be at fault and will be cited with a traffic citation via District Court 46-3-01.
Zimmerman Towing removed Fluit’s vehicle from the crash scene.
