Police Release Details on Teens Cited for False Reports to Law Enforcement

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Brookville Borough Police say around 8:20 p.m. on July 30, two males were arrested for false reports to law enforcement agencies, in Brookville, Jefferson County.

Following the completion of an investigation, police are filing charges against 18-year-old Christopher Michael Hetrick, of Brookville, and a 17-year-old juvenile male for false reports to law enforcement.

According to police, the teens reported that two unknown males had assaulted them and then robbed Hetrick by stealing his hearing aid valued at $10,000.00 and discarded it.

Through the investigation, it was discovered that the teens were going through the tunnel under Ace Hardware, and Hetrick lost the hearing device.

Police say the hearing aid has been recovered.

Brookville Police were assisted in the investigation by the Jefferson County Juvenile Probation Department.
