Police Release Details on Two-Vehicle Collision in Warsaw Township

WARSAW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in DuBois responded to a two-vehicle collision that occurred on State Route 28 in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the crash occurred around 8:34 a.m. on February 19 as William L. Keys, 64, of Reynoldsville was stopped in the southbound lane of SR 28 to make a left turn into the entrance of Keys Recreational Vehicles.

Heather R. Herzing, 20, of Brookville, was also traveling south on SR 28 and failed to stop within a safe distance, according to police.

Herzing then struck the rear end Keys’ 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with her 2015 Subaru Impreza, police say.

Both vehicles came to a final rest facing south in the north entrance of Keys Recreational Vehicles’ parking lot.

According to police, both drivers were uninjured in the collision.

Keys and Herzing were both wearing seat belts.

Herzing was cited with a traffic violation.
