Police Release Details on 21-Year-Old Woman Charged with DUI, Endangering the Welfare of Children

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Following the completing of the investigation, Brookville Police Department is filing charges of DUI and other related offenses against a 21-year-old female.

Around 7:55 p.m. on May 19, Brookville Police were dispatched to the lower parking lot of the Brookville Hospital for a vehicle that drove out of the lot and became disabled on the large rock drainage.

Through the course of the investigation, police arrested a 21-year-old Johnsonburg woman for DUI.

She was found to have her three minor children, ages 2,3, and 4, in the vehicle with her, police say.

The children were taken into protective custody and released into the custody of Jefferson County Children Youth Services.

The woman consented to a blood test and her BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) was found to be 0.247%.

She is facing the following charges:

-DUI
-Careless Driving
-Recklessly Endangering Another Person
-Endangering the Welfare of Children

Jefferson County CYS, Jefferson County EMS, and Maintenance staff from Brookville Hospital assisted at the scene.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by McPherson Towing.

The name of the driver was not released.
