RINGGOLD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a phone scam occurred on Pansy Ringgold Road, in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.
Police say a known victim was contacted via phone regarding winning the lottery.
The victim sent checks to the suspect(s) believed to be for taxes, etcetera, according to police.
The incident occurred sometime between June 1, 2014, and October 16, 2014.
