Police Respond to Altercation Over Custody of Child

SUMMERVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 10:00 p.m. on February 20, an incident of harassment occurred on Heathville Road, in Summerville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police responded to a call about harassment on Heathville Road. Upon arrival, it was discovered that 22-year-old Alana Uplinger and 32-year-old Matthew Bookamer, both of Summerville, were allegedly involved in a verbal altercation about the custody of their child.

Bookamer allegedly attempted to take his and Uplinger’s child and leave their residence, according to police.

Uplinger allegedly grabbed him by the arm, and Bookamer allegedly pushed her, police say.

Both actors refused to press charged.
