Police Respond to Crash in Washington Township

Blue flashing sirens of police car during the roadblock in the cWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Hormtown Road in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

Accoding to police, 22-year-old Rebecca Minich, of Reynoldsville, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer east around 2:52 a.m. January 21.

Minich’s vehicle was travelling approximately 25 mph when the rear end of the vehicle began to slide.

Minich attempted to correct the vehicle and crossed over the roadway and struck a tree on the left side of the road, according to police.

The vehicle came to final rest on the edge of the roadway, still in contact with the tree.

The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven away from the scene.

Minich was wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries.
