Police Respond to Employee Theft at Punxsutawney WalMart

YOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, an incident of employee theft occurred at Punxsutawney WalMart, in Young Township, Jefferson County.

Police responded around 5:50 p.m. on April 30 to Punxsutawney Walmart for a call about a theft.

Police say WalMart Supercenter reported that an employee of theirs admitted to taking items from the workplace upon completion of her shift without paying for them.

The 37-year-old Rossiter woman allegedly stole from WalMart since November of 2013, police say.

The items taken consisted of groceries and clothing, according to police.

Charges are pending further investigation.
