Police Respond to One-Vehicle Crash in Pine Creek Township


PINECREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on Sunday morning at Exit 81, off Interstate 80, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 10:37 a.m. on Sunday, August 20, 27-year-old Jesse R. Reeves, of Hammonton, New Jersey, was driving a 1997 Mercedes Benz when he exited I-80 at Exit 81 in the westbound off ramp.

Police say Reeves didn’t stop at the stop sign. He crossed both lanes of Route 28 and hit an embankment before traveling 40 feet. The car was disabled and Reeves left the scene. He was later found and was not injured.

McPherson’s Auto Body towed the vehicle.

Police say Reeves will be cited through District Court 54-3-03.
