Police Respond to Retail Theft, Apprehend Fugitive From Elk County

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Brookville recently apprehended a fugitive from Elk County.

Around 11:04 a.m. on May 9, Brookville Borough Police were dispatched to Means & Lauf Drug for a retail theft.

Through the course of the investigation, the suspect, 32-year-old Michael Wayne Blauser, Jr., of Brookville, was located and stopped on Run Alley, according to police.

Blauser was allegedly found to be in possession of the stolen item from Means & Lauf and driving under suspension, DUI related.

Police say Blauser was also wanted in Elk County on a felony bench warrant.

He was placed in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting Elk County to transport him back.
