Police Seek Continue Search for Punxsy Robbery Suspects

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) — The Punxsutawney Borough Police are searching for two suspects in a robbery at the Punxsy Plaza.

According to police, two Glen Campbell residents – Brittani Scott and Michael Barnett – allegedly attempted to steal money from a produce truck that was parked at the Plaza Friday, August 25.

Police said Scott entered the rear of the truck and “told the employee to stay where she was while she took the cash box.” Scott and the employee fought over the cash box, but Scott pulled it away, according to police.

The employee yelled for help while Scott fled. A bystander then became involved in the incident, pulling a camouflage hoodie off Scott’s head, causing her to drop the cash box. Scott ran and got into a mini van driven by Barnett, according to police.

Several witnesses helped identify the pair and police are asking for anyone with information on the whereabouts of Scott or Barnett to call police at 814-938-6220.

Barnett and Scott are each facing three charges, including felony robbery.
