Police Seek Identity Of Man Giving False Information Following Punxsutawney Crash

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Police report a man provided false information following a crash in Punxsutawney.

Police say Andrew Swales, of DuBois, came to the Punxsutawney Police Station and said he was involved in a crash at the intersection of South Gilpin and West Mahoning Street at about 1:00 p.m. August 28.

Swales reported he was waiting to turn and as the light turned green he was struck from behind by a light blue tri-axle and was being pushed.

Both drivers pulled over and exchanged information, but when Swales attempted to contact the other man, he found out the information provided was false.

The driver of the tri-axle is described as being a 20 to 30-year-old white male, with tattoos on both arms. Police say he stands about 6 feet tall with a thin build, dark brown hair, a mustache and a beard.

The man provided the name Mark Fraiser.
