HENDERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say on March 16, a burglary occurred at Gruda Metals, on Gruda Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.
According to police, sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on March 16, an unknown perpetrator(s) gained entry by breaking a side window into the scale house at Gruda Metals.
Police say the perpetrator(s) entered the above location and removed numerous amount of brass and copper, a welder, socket set, grease gun, plasma cutter, stereo system, laptop, and a camouflage 2010 Tomoto Supermach 500 sport utility vehicle.
The SUV was recovered on Rockdump Road.
The estimated cost of stolen property is over $9,000.00.
The estimated cost of damaged property is yet to be determined.
The investigation continues.
