Police Seek Information on Purse Stolen from Shopping Cart in Punxsy

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police say a theft occurred at County Market in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County.

According to police, the incident occurred on April 27 around 10:25 p.m. when a female victim reported that she left her purse in a shopping cart outside the entrance of County Market.

The victim left the store and noticed she had left her purse in the shopping cart. She then returned to County Market to see if anyone had turned in her purse with no results. police say.

County Market employees obtained video surveillance that a showed white female between 20 to 25-years-old who was wearing a dark hoodie and dark beanie hat pushing the cart away from the front doors and removing the victim’s purse, according to police.

The suspect was with a white male between 20 to 25-years-old who was wearing a dark coat, a maroon and white stripped hat, and sneakers with orange or red shoe laces, police say.
