Police Seek Information on Suspect in Internet Car Sales Scam

investigationUNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT)– DuBois-based State Police are investigating an incident of Theft that occurred in Union Township, Clearfield County.

Police say the incident occurred on March 4 around 6:11 p.m. when an unknown perpetrator(s) deceived a 36-year-old Rockton woman by attempting to sell her a vehicle on Amazon.com.

The victim sent the perpetrator $2,500.00 on prepaid cards and did not receive the vehicle, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
