Police Seek Information on Vandalism at Big Run Park

BIG RUN, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say an incident of vandalism occurred sometime between August 26 and September 9 at Veterans Memorial Park in Big Run, Jefferson County.

According to police, an unknown perpetrator(s) gained entrance into a block storage building by using an unknown object to pry open the wooden door frame.

Police say the perpetrator(s) are also responsible for writing derogatory pictures/messages on a picnic table, children’s play gym set, and a 4 ft. by 8 ft. metal sign. The perpetrator(s) used a black sharpie pen to cause the damage.

The total damage was estimated at approximately $500.00.
