Police Seek Info on Hit-and-Run Crash in Pinecreek Twp.

PINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Pennsylvania State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Interstate 80 in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County.

State Police say around 2:05 p.m. on January 26, Al Ran J. Khwo, 51, and passenger, One S. Jeon, 56, both of Schaumberg, Illinois, were traveling westbound on Interstate 80, near mile marker 82.5 when Khwo attempted to pass a tractor-trailer in the left lane.

According to police, an unknown operator of the tractor-trailer crossed over into the left lane and struck the right side of the vehicle with its left side trailer tires.

After initial impact, the vehicle traveled off the south side of the roadway, striking the guide rail before coming to a final rest facing east in the median.

The tractor-trailer, described as a “truck-tractor towing a white box trailer,” continued traveling west without stopping.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Assisting the State Police at the scene were Pinecreek Fire Department and Brookville EMS.
