SYKESVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 1:58 p.m. on May 20, a hit and run accident occurred on State Route 119, south of Coolspring Avenue, in Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County.
According to police, an unidentified tractor-trailer was traveling southbound on Route 119 in Sykesville, and a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 was parked along the right shoulder of the roadway. The tractor-trailer sideswiped the GMC, pulled over a short distance south of the crash, and then fled the scene.
The GMC was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
