Police Searching for Man Accused of Robbing Woman in Punxsy

Police sirenPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police say a robbery occurred yesterday on North Findley Street, near Ragley’s Hardware parking lot, in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 7:34 p.m. on January 11, a known woman was holding cash in her hand, and an unknown man, who was walking by her, took it. The man attempted to steal her purse, as well.

The suspect then ran towards Nic’s Corner Lunch, and at that time, the victim lost sight of him.

The suspect is described as a white male with scruff on his face, 18 to 23 years of age, approximately 5’9″, reddish-brown hair, and wearing a dark gray hoodie.
