Police: Two Charged Following Assault in Bell Township

handcuffsBELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Two Punxsutawney individuals face criminal charges following an incident at a residence in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Punxsutawney-based State Police say Joshua W. Sears, Jr., of Punxsutawney, is facing charges in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred around 5:00 p.m. on June 6, at 400 Elderberry Hill Road in Bell Township.

On June 6, police responded to the Punxsutawney Hospital for a report of a domestic violence incident involving Joshua Sears and Lindsay N. Sears, of Punxsutawney.

The above mentioned individuals were involved in an argument at their residence on Elderberry Hill Road, according to police.

Police say Joshua Sears “subjected (Lindsay Sears) to unwanted physical contact during the incident.”

He was arrested for Simple Assault and Harassment.

Lindsay Sears was charged with Harassment.

The investigation is ongoing.
