BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to Penn Highlands DuBois for a report of an assault.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that a known, 34-year-old Ernest, Pa., man assaulted a known, 22-year-old Mahaffey, Pa., woman at a location on Church Street, in Bell Township, Clearfield County, according to police.
The victim fled the scene and received treatment at Penn Highlands DuBois, police say.
The incident occurred sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on August 1, according to police.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of the perpetrator, relative to this incident, police say.
The name of the suspect was not released.
