According to police, around 3:08 p.m. on April 10, 21-year-old William A. Brown, of Luthersburg, was traveling south on Mine Road in the right travel lane. While rounding a sharp left curve in the roadway, his 2001 Hyundai Elantra traveled off the road and onto the west berm.

The car then traveled 18 feet along the west berm of the roadway, and Brown jerked the steering wheel to the left, causing the car to swerve east back onto the road. The car then slid 144 feet south in the right travel lane before traveling back off the roadway, striking a small embankment. The car rotated clockwise and overturned, coming to a rest on its roof facing north in the southbound lane of Mine Road.

Police say Brown was not injured and his passenger, 22-year-old Starla A. Haag, of Luthersburg, suffered suspected minor injuries.

Brady Township EMS transported both occupants to Penn Highland DuBois, police say.

Both individuals were using seat belts.

Brady Township VFD and Brady Township EMS assisted at the scene.

Brown was charged with a traffic violation.
