Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 219

BURNSIDE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on State Route 219 on Saturday morning.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, 27-year-old Kyle S. Hauck, of Ebensburg, and 27-year-old Joshua L. Scott, of Cherry Tree, were involved in the collision that occurred around 10:43 a.m. on Saturday, February 29.

Police say Scott was traveling south in the right southbound lane on Route 219, in Burnside Township, Clearfield County, in a 1992 Volkswagen Jetta and was slowing to turn right into a private driveway.

According to police, Hauck was driving his 1999 Honda Accord at a speed too great to prevent it from impacting the vehicle.

Both vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Scott reported a back injury on the scene and was transported by Hastings Area Ambulance Association for a medical evaluation.

He was not using a seat belt.

Hauck was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Cherry Tree Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control.
