Three Escape Injury in Clover Township Crash

CLOVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police report an accident occurred on Route 28 in Clover Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this crash occurred on June 10, at 3:50 p.m., as 32-year-old Chad Over, of Mayport, was driving his 2000 Dodge Dakota in the northbound lane when he left the lane and crossed over the double solid yellow lines, entering the opposing lane of travel.

Over’s vehicle impacted the left-rear end of a 2012 Dodge Ram that was traveling southbound, according to police.

The Ram was being driven by 45-year-old Matthew Horne, also of Mayport.

After the impact, Over exited the western berm and struck an embankment where the vehicle came to final rest facing north, partially on the embankment.

Horne’s vehicle came to final rest facing south on the roadway.

Over’s vehicle sustained damage to the left-front portion of the vehicle and was towed from the scene by Leadbetter’s Towing.

Horne’s vehicle sustained damage to the left-rear tire and was towed from the scene by Nolf’s Towing.

In addition to the drivers, one passenger was also involved in the crash: 44-year-old Keli Horne.

All parties were wearing seat belts and escaped injury in the crash, according to police.

Police say Over was charged with Careless Driving.
