UNION Twp., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police have released details surrounding a recent drug arrest on Interstate 80 in the Union Township, Clearfield County.
Police say the incident happened on April 11 around 9:51 AM.
Jovanni Mateo, 27, of Manteno, IL, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 80 westbound near mile marker 104.2.
When officers approached the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was detected.
A search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Mateo was subsequently taken into custody on related charges.
He was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
