Police Release Details on Woman Accused of Drug Possession in Pine Creek Township

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 31-year-old woman is facing drug charges following a recent incident along State Route 28, in Pine Creek Township in Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1, a known, 31-year-old Cleveland, Ohio woman was stranded at a residence along Route 28 and waiting for a ride back to Cleveland.

Police responded to the scene to check on her welfare.

Police were notified of a purse containing drug paraphernalia found at the same residence that allegedly belonged to the woman.

The known woman was charged in district court.

The incident remains under investigation.

The name of the woman was not released.
