KNOX TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Reynoldsville man is suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol after a vehicle crash in Knox Township, Jefferson County.
According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 2:21 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 23-year-old Brandon L. Peters, of Reynoldsville, was driving a 2004 Chevy Colorado on Tait Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck went off the road and hit a tree, suffering disabling damage.
Police said further investigation led Trooper Thurner to suspect Peters of being intoxicated when he was involved in the collision.
Peters was not wearing his seat belt but was not injured.
He was charged with a traffic violation.
Four others in the truck were wearing their seat belts and were not injured. They included Matt Durgan, 34 of Fombell; Keri Simonette, 27, of Pittsburgh; Amanda Clark, 23, of Mendenhall; and Mike Ricci, 27, of Dickson City.
