Brookville Woman Escapes Injury in One-Vehicle Crash on Route 36

Police car lightsOLIVER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred yesterday morning on State Route 36, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 9:11 a.m., 25-year-old Jessica M Schappacher, of Brookville, was traveling north on Route 36, east of Millen Road, in a 2006 Pontiac Torrent.

Police say the vehicle was traveling too fast for road conditions, and Schappacher could not maintain control of it. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a guide rail.

Schappacher was using a seat belt and was not injured.

The vehicle sustained disabled damage and was towed from the scene.
