Punsutawney Woman Faces Cruelty To Animals Charges

Crime ScenePUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – The Punxsutawney Police Department reports an incident of cruelty to animals took place along East Liberty Street in Punxsutawney, Jefferson County.

Police report officers were summoned to an East Liberty Street address on June 26 for a report of dogs being left abandoned or unattended at the residence.

An investigation revealed two dogs isolated in a small room which was allegedly heavily soiled in urine and fecal matter, police say.

According to police, no food or water was present, and electricity and running water had previously been shut off at the residence.

As a result, police charged the tenant of the property, Marina V. Radja, with two counts of cruelty to animals for allegedly neglecting the animals or depriving the animals of necessary sustenance or access to clean and sanitary shelter.
