PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police say the driver of a tractor trailer is facing charges following a recent hit-and-run crash in the borough.
On Dec 12, around 6:29 PM a witness reported to Punxsutawney Borough Police that a tractor trailer struck a pedestrian control post while attempting to turn north onto N Findley St from Mahoning St.
Police say the impact knocked the post over, damaging it.
Punxsutawney Borough Police were not able to locate the tractor trailer; however, Brookville Borough Police were sent a description and were able to locate the suspected tractor trailer.
Officers then obtained identification on the vehicle and driver.
The name of the driver was not released.
