Brookville Man Accused of Retail Theft at Punxsy Dollar Store

Police sirenPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police responded to a trespassing/retail theft incident in Punxsutawney Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say on January 6, 2016 they received a request to respond to Dollar General for a report of shoplifter.

According to police, it was reported that a known male, whom was previously given notice that he was no longer permitted in the store, entered and removed an item from its package, concealed on his person and left without paying.

Police later located the suspect, 18-year-old Tyler Lee Courson, of Brookville, on Foundry Street.

Police also recovered the stolen merchandise by the railroad tracks near Carulli’s Auto.

Police say charges will be filed against Courson for Defiant Trespassing and Retail Theft.
