Wet Roadway Causes One-Vehicle Crash in Sandy Township

SANDY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a one-car crash occurred on Friday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, around 6:17 p.m. on Friday, May 4, a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on I-80 in the left lane when the driver – 23-year-old Jordan C. Petitt, of Springfield, Va. – lost control on the wet roadway and struck a guide rail at mile marker 98.6.

The Malibu then spun around counterclockwise across both lanes of travel and came to a final rest on the shoulder facing east.
