Police Release Results of Sobriety Checkpoint; Four DUI Arrests Made, One Bench Warrant Served

YOUNG TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Sobriety Checkpoint was conducted by Troop C members of Punxsutawney-based State Police between 10:00 p.m. on August 20 and 3:00 a.m. on August 21 on State Route 36, in Young Township, Jefferson County.

The results of the detail are as follows:

• 94 Number of vehicles contacted
• 4 DUI Arrests
• 1 Other Misdemeanor Arrests
• 3 Seat belt Citations
• 19 Other Citations
• 1 Underage Drinking Citations
• 83 Written Warnings
• 1 Bench Warrant Served
