Falls Creek Man Faces DUI Charges Following Rollover Crash

Crime SceneWASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) –DuBois-based State Police report a one vehicle crash occurred in Washington Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a 2009 Dodge Caliber operated by Russell E. Siple, 49, of Falls Creek, was westbound on State Route 830 (Airport Road) at around 3:20 a.m. on June 28 when he lost control of the vehicle on the wet roadway.

The vehicle slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole, shearing off the pole before rolling over down an embankment and coming to rest on its left side facing east, police say.

Siple allegedly fled the scene on foot and was later found at his residence, according to police.

Police were allegedly able to determine Siple had been under the influence of alcohol and placed him under arrest on charges of DUI.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Falls Creek Fire Department, Mottman Towing, and Penelec assisted at the scene.
