WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police are searching for a Sykesville man accused of assaulting a 20-year-old DuBois woman at a residence along Sykes Street Extension early Sunday morning.
DuBois-based State Police say the crime occurred after Michael Steven Siple, 31, of Sykesville, engaged in a verbal argument with a 20-year-old DuBois woman.
The argument turned physical when Siple allegedly struck the victim numerous times in the face with a closed fist, according to police.
Siple then allegedly forced the victim up a set of stairs into their apartment, while covering her mouth.
He allegedly fled when police arrived on the scene.
Multiple charges have been filed against Siple, including Simple Assault and Unlawful Restraint.
Authorities say an arrest warrant has been issued and active attempts to locate Siple are underway.
