PSU-DuBois’ Haines Wins NWCA Wrestling National Title

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Penn State-DuBois wrestler Ty Haines, a Redbank Valley graduate, won the NWCA national championship at 149 pounds Saturday in Kissimmee, Fla.

Haines defeated previously unbeaten and four-time All-American Nick Cegelski of Southern Cal, who entered the match at 26-0, 8-3.

Haines, whose brother Kasey was an All-American at PSU-DuBois, is the first PSU-DuBois wrestler to win a national title.
