Punxsutawney Phil Visits Penn State

PhilUNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (EYT) – Just a few weeks ahead of the big day, Punxsutawney Phil and the Ground Hog Club made a visit to Penn State University.

William Deeley, President of the Punxsutawney Ground Hog Club, introduced the famous groundhog to students, faculty, and staff at Penn State’s Department of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science.

The club, which includes the handlers and caretakers, and Punxsy Phil took a little time to pose for photos with some Penn State Meteorology students during Phil’s visit to the University Park campus.

Punxsutawney Phil will make his annual prediction regarding a longer winter or an early spring at Gobbler’s Knob on the morning of February 2.
